SO

Today I read a few things – Deuteronomy 14…. Just when to free slaves and all that jazz…. Mark 12. This has the bit about the Greatest Commandment which we looked at a bit in church the other day. Its good stuff… I mean, how is:

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength’ and ‘Love your neighbour as yourself” 

Not the best commandment ever. I love the way it works too.. like if you love the Lord your God with all your heart etc. then of course you’re gonna love your neighbour as yourself, cos the Spirit is in you and everything…

Mindblowing stuff aye.

I also read Acts 11. I didn’t realise so much of Acts was about Peter… you learn something new every day.

been a bit of a while… blogging is so much effort unless you’re addicted to it.. and i’m kinda not – facebook is just so much more interesting!

Well, last week I was at my youthcamp, called G7… it was amazing, as those things always are and we had many a good time… BUt i feel like i’ve told the stories too many times.

Jail was definitely a highlight..

And all the prayer time, and prayer triplets – they were awesome.

My G7 song what I wrote was pretty cool too. It’s cool cos then I got these randoms who’d never talked to me before talking to me (touches nose… and winks.)

and so on and so on

Oh, and spiking my hair was a massive highlight!

Then this week… i’ve been hanging out with Nick… and not doing any schoolwork… well actually doing quite a bit, just not enough. Oh well…

So yeah. *stares off into the distance*

You know what?! I have found I increasingly rely on emoticons to talk via computer. and I even use them when i’m NOT on the computer IT’s good but bad… and the whole *stares off into the distance* they’re good for giving you amusement and showing what i’m doing and stuff.. but it kinda annoys me at the same time… meh. i’m over it now

I had many apprehensions about it, well, one to be precise – will it work??? Cos I’ve never had it this short, or styled in this way, and it needed to go a particular type of curly etc etc. Anyways, it worked. Which is cool. And now it’s all cute and stuff.

Now that I think about it, it kind of reminds me of Missy Higgins’s haircut… but that might change.

Oh, I also had an interview for possibly going on a school mission trip to Vanuatu today. It was cool/exciting and stuff. I’m so looking forward to it – hope I can go!

So yeah. It’s exciting stuff!

Here I am, madly getting up at 10 to 7 every morning, and getting home at 4:30…. not much spare time these days.

I’m so excited that it’s the weekend, which started 2 hours earlier this week due to leaving the swimming carnival, which was in Sutherland, an hour earlier.

I watched Wild Child last night, after hearing great reviews from the movie reviewers of all time – Rosie and Laura, and after weeks of trying to track it down for a non-school night, I finally managed to snap my greedy hands onto it at the local Civic. It’s pretty funny. I love the director (Bend it Like Beckham). She? is heaps good. And it was one of those movies where I’d never seen any of the actors before, and they were all heaps good, and I love those ones. Although, I think, the main girl looks a lot like a girl from my year…. minus the LA blonde bimbo-ness.

So, to have a second kickstart to my weekend I slept for TWELVE WHOLE HOURS… true I did wake up at various points from 7 onwards, but it feels like a great achievement.

And now, it’s Valentine’s day. AKA: Single’s Awareness day, by my facebook friends .:D In the words of Danielle Carey, ‘happy valentines day. Especially to all those ‘unclaimed treasures’ out there.

Ew. I’m sick of this rain. It just rains, and rains, and rains, then gets cold and windy, then ALMOST clears up, then rains and rains and rains.

THEN, mum and I got bored, so we copied Color Me Katie, and stuck eyes on stuff. It was so fun! And there were some cute things

And I drew some random people (from school), but they didn’t really work, cos when you’ve only looked at them for like 5 mins while you were sketching them in art, it’s a bit hard to draw them from memory. I also tried drawing Lior, but it was more of a good drawing that didn’t look much like him (I did get the lighting right though), than an actual drawing of him. I still felt like I accomplished something though

Oh well. I got a kick out of going ice skating again (worse blisters this time, and there’s photos), and puzzling over a jigsaw with mum while rockin to The Countdown.

It even got sunny for me to say adieu. I got to swim and all! It was so cool to see the sun again after the day and night of misery and storms. I’m sure Laura was glad to see the back of the clouds .

I was going to have heaps of fun loading up photos that I took (not many, admittedly, I’ll let others do their ones of me ) but I forgot my phone. As in, I left it in Hat Head. Which is all good and all, seeing as the Pullar’s are there for another week, and Rose’s g0nna post it to me, but it’s a massive pain. So far I’ve wanted to take photos, write messages, write notes and use the calendar and I’ve only been missing it 12 hours!!!

So I’m really thankful that Annelise and Alan gave me a ride there and back. They’re amazingly kind…just putting it out there .

Wow.  A wave of tiredness hit me, so I might go and sleep, seeing I haven’t done a lot of that lately, and now is my chance! Toodloo til later.
